I glimpsed some glitter in the woods
Another star to trail behind
I rest assured we’re doing good
We’re making sense, we’re seeing light
Your battered wings shall spread again
My soaring love, my roaring song
We should have done what we once meant
We safely float now in this throng
Why changing goals for something real?
Why pinning hopes on mere self?
Instruct your god to switch the reels
For longer lives on wider shelves
Let’s see what comes and how it ends
Let’s hoard what not and guard our mends
